Today’s society is fueled by glamour, style and fashion and the never ending race to keep up with it all. In such a society, it is difficult for most people to come to terms with what they are and the so called standards that the “elite” set for others and for themselves. knowing how to build self confidence in such an environment is definitely something that will be of huge benefit to you.
You should build self confidence for a variety of reasons. I will state a few major ones in this post.
Lets you come out of your shell
A little self esteem boost cannot be a bad thing for anyone. When you have self confidence in yourself, you can come out of the shadows begin to make a difference in the environment around you. You feel stronger and more in control of you life and how events shape around you. This is very important for a happy life.. Someone who is afraid of meeting challenges in life will always be miserable even if they have a LOT to be thankful for.
Lets you grab opportunities
When you are low on self confidence and an opportunity makes your way, you probably won’t take it. I cannot even count the number of times I have seen this happen in my lifetime and I am just in my early twenties! Most of the time, this happens due to lack of certainty on your part to accept the fact you can actually take advantage of the opportunity being presented to you. They have doubts about them selves as to whether they have what it takes to exploit the opportunity or not. If they loose the opportunity, they fear loosing what they had before and that demotivates them from ever tring to take a step forward. They eventually settle for what they already have in life even if its very little and makes them miserable.
These two reasons are probably the most important why you should really looking into building self confidence. Many other sub causes branch out from these two reasons as to why you should build self confidence.
